Role Description:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of Karwa Motors executive leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, overseeing all financial operations, and ensuring the company s fiscal health and sustainability. This role encompasses financial planning, financial reporting, cash flow management, risk mitigation, corporate governance, compliance, and strategic investment planning. The CFO will play a crucial role in steering the company toward financial success, aligning strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and international standards. The position demands exceptional financial acumen, strategic foresight, strong leadership, and the ability to influence decision making at the highest level.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Financial Leadership and Strategy Development:
1.1. Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
1.2. Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the company s business goals and growth ambitions.
1.3. Ensure effective financial controls, risk management frameworks, and governance practices are in place.
1.4. Oversee and optimize the company s cash flow and liquidity position to ensure operational stability, timely fulfillment of obligations, and strategic allocation of surplus funds, supported by robust forecasting models.
2. Management and Financial Reporting:
2.1. Lead the finance team in managing daily financial operations.
2.2. Prepare accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements and reports for management, the Board of Directors, regulators, and shareholders.
2.3. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement.
3. Investment and Funding:
3.1. Identify, evaluate, and recommend investment opportunities to drive business growth.
3.2. Manage capital structure, debt levels, and relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
3.3. Secure funding solutions that support expansion and strategic initiatives.
4. Cost Control and Efficiency:
4.1. Implement cost-control measures to improve profitability without compromising quality or operational performance.
4.2. Optimize resource allocation across departments, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
4.3. Collaborate with Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Aftersales teams to drive financial efficiency across business functions.
5. Compliance and Governance:
5.1. Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.
5.2. Maintain high standards of corporate governance, ethics, and financial transparency.
5.3. Oversee and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
6. Strategic Partnerships and M&A Activities:
6.1. Support negotiations, due diligence, and financial evaluations in mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
6.2. Lead post-merger integration of financial systems and processes.
6.3. Ensure financial synergies and alignment in strategic business collaborations
7. Market Analysis and Forecasting:
7.1. Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and market conditions.
7.2. Advise the CEO and COO on financial strategy adjustments based on market dynamics.
8. Innovation and Technology Integration:
8.1. Drive adoption of advanced financial technologies, automation tools, and ERP systems.
8.2. Support innovation in manufacturing and product development from a financial perspective.
9. Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility:
9.1. Integrate sustainable financial practices into corporate planning.
9.2. Align financial objectives with corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. This role requires a combination of strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, leadership skills. The CFO is expected to contribute significantly to the company's overall performance and strategic direction.
