Roles & Responsibilities
To support the Projects Department through their techno-commercial and management expertise to deliver the project in accordance with Scope of Works as defined in the contract, ensuring the technical requirements as per TSS, Standard Specification and Grid Code are met without fail.
Monthly, Weekly, and daily review and follow up of the Project Plan for the individual project timelines and activity carried out by the contractor & consultant.
Organizing and managing project reviews with the Contractors and Consultants as required
Check and review the consultants and contractors invoices for each individual project.
Review of the electrical document s specifications e.g. drawings, to ensure the electrical specification is in line with requirements
Visits sites to monitor progress and the installation of all electrical equipment. Reports all findings and raises discrepancies where necessary.
Coordination with the Civil Engineer to ensure that civil works are in line with the required specifications.
Following all regulations as stipulated by both the Government and OETC
Handling all variations and operation time extension cases where they arise
Put efforts to minimize variation orders.
Responding to any specification change after project commencement if any, and ensuring costs are kept to a minimum.
Ensuring that all projects are of the highest quality in line with electrical quality standards and that the relevant technical knowledge is included into all aspects of the job
Ensuring the HSE plan is in place at project commencement and is followed for the duration of the project report all findings where and when necessary.
Making recovery plans and ensuring they are acted upon by the Contractors for any HSE inconsistencies.
Conduct monthly HSE site walk down.
Present project in gates meeting and make sure requirement of each gate are met.
Prepare analysis reports for change orders and present to MITC/MJTC
Implement project as per approved SOPs.
Coordinate with other discos, third parties and other OETC department for interface management.
Follow up with contractor and consultant and support in preparation of all required documents for proper closing of project and issue of TOC and FAC
Reviewing and providing input for the monthly progress report
Providing ad hoc information to support all projects as and when required.
Preparing and reviewing Risk Register for the projects
Preparing and reviewing all financial reports required like cash flows, VOWD for the projects.
Participating and preparing any business studies, workshops, brainstorming, reports, or discussions related to projects department.
Sharing skills and experience with colleagues, trainees and supporting the development of others through coaching where possible
Undertaking & Supervising Non-Load related Projects when required by the department.
Manages contractors prequalification and performs proposals analysis and advice on the proposals.
Reply to all clarification from different Audits and follow up closing the actions required.
Knowledge and Understanding of the Asset Management, QHSE Management System and IT Security Standard Requirements according to Integrated Management System (IMS), ISO 55001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.
