Roles & Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on but not limited to the following domains: Renewable Energy (particularly Solar Energy and Wind Energy), Mechatronics, Finite Element Methods (FEM), Turbomachinery, Industrial Hydraulic Systems (Oil Based), Pneumatic Systems (Compressed Air), Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Building Mechanical Systems, Optimization, Automation and Control, Machine Design, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), 3D Printing, Mechanical Workshop (Welding, Milling, Lathe Machine, Drilling).

Engage in scholarly research and publications in Mechanical Engineering.

Supervise Graduation Projects

Advise students on academic and career goals.

Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop new programs and initiatives.

Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Perform other duties as assigned by the program chair or the College Dean.

Desired Candidate Profile

A BEng and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university.

At least two years of teaching experience.

A record of excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements

Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in higher education.

Experience in the field or industry related to the department or program.

Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD software is a valuable asset.
