Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of EOT cranes, hoists, and associated electrical systems in Rolling Mill operations.
• Diagnose and rectify faults related to motors, drives, PLCs, panels, brakes, limit switches, encoders, and control circuits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, contactors, relays, transformers, and crane communication systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of crane safety interlocks, protections, and emergency systems.
• Monitor crane performance and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with operation and mechanical maintenance teams for smooth maintenance execution.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, and statutory maintenance practices.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare consumption data.
• Support shutdown activities and continuous improvement initiatives in crane maintenance.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of EOT crane electrical maintenance in Rolling Mill/TMT operations.
• Hands-on experience in PLCs, VFDs, motors, drives, and crane automation systems.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding capability.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and electrical maintenance standards.
• Ability to work in shift operations and handle emergency breakdowns.
• Team coordination and communication skills.
