Job Details

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all
electrical activities across block 7 field to ensure safe, reliable, and
compliant operation of electrical systems. This includes maintenance,
troubleshooting, commissioning, and installation of electrical equipment
ranging from low-voltage to high-voltage systems in hazardous (classified)
areas.


Reporting:

The Electrical Supervisor reports directly to the field superintendent.


Location:

Field position in equal rotation 


RequirementsRole and Responsibilities:

•    Supervise electrical technicians and contractors during maintenance, shutdowns, and project works.

•    Ensure safe execution of electrical work as per company HSE policies and industry best practices (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, NEC).

•    Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including:

o    Motors, MCCs, switch-gear (LV/HV)

o    Transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, generators

o    Lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems

•    Coordinate and plan preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

•    Ensure compliance with electrical isolation and lockout/tag out procedures (LOTO).

•    Interpret and update single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.

•    Assist with commissioning and startup of new electrical equipment.

•    Liaise with other departments (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Operations) for integrated work planning.

•    Prepare job plans, risk assessments, and method statements.

•    Provide mentorship and training to junior electrical staff.

•    Ensure materials and tools are available for planned work and manage spare parts inventory.

Qualifications:

•    Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

•    Electrical Supervisor or Technician License (if required by local regulations).

•    Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance in the oil & gas industry, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role.

•    In-depth knowledge of hazardous area equipment (Ex-rated), explosion protection concepts.

•    Familiarity with international standards: IEC, NEC, API, IEEE, and relevant safety codes.

•    Strong knowledge of maintenance systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).

•    Fluent in English; strong communication and leadership skills.
