Job Title: Sales Engineer – Electrical & Lighting Solutions

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to drive business growth in LED lighting, solar lighting, signage, road signage, street lighting, decorative lighting, and metal fabrication solutions.

The role level (Junior or Senior) will depend on experience and demonstrated business development capability.

Key Responsibilities

Level A – Junior / Assistant Sales Engineer

• Support lead generation and business development activities
• Conduct site visits and understand client requirements
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
• Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams to align technical specifications
• Maintain CRM records and follow up on prospects
• Support project handover to execution teams
• Achieve assigned KPIs related to proposals and client follow-ups
• Stay updated on market trends in lighting, solar, and signage sectors

Level B – Senior Sales Engineer / Team Lead

• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing
• Develop business strategies for LED lighting, solar systems, signage, and fabrication projects
• Identify new market segments (government, infrastructure, commercial, industrial)
• Lead and mentor junior sales engineers
• Build relationships with contractors, consultants, and government authorities
• Prepare technical presentations, cost models, and ROI analyses (especially for LED & solar solutions)
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to forecasting and pipeline management
• Represent the organization at trade exhibitions and networking events

Skills

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience in electrical product sales (Junior Level)
• 5+ years’ proven sales track record in lighting/solar/signage projects (Senior Level)
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• LED lighting systems (fixtures, drivers, power systems)
• Solar lighting systems (panels, batteries, controllers)
• Signage fabrication and road/traffic sign systems
• Understanding of costing, margins, and contract negotiation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage)
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
• Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings

Preferred (Senior Level)

• Experience in Oman/GCC markets
• Knowledge of local tendering and procurement processes
• Team leadership experience
• Understanding of fabrication and project execution processes
