Position Title: Inventory Management Manager
Location: Muscat, Oman


Job Purpose
The Inventory Management Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable inventory and asset data across multiple yard operations. This role manages SAP inventory and Material Master data, oversees asset valuation and repair/repurposing processes, and supports yard occupancy planning, enabling informed operational and commercial decisions.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities




  • Ensure full accuracy, consistency, and traceability of all inventory and asset records across managed yards.



  • Maintain SAP inventory and Material Master records, ensuring all material movements, transactions, and adjustments are timely, accurate, and compliant with company procedures.



  • Conduct regular reconciliations between physical stock and system records, resolving discrepancies to maintain audit-ready data integrity.



  • Oversee classification and codification of materials to support effective segregation, valuation, and sales preparation.



  • Manage the full lifecycle of SAP Material Master data for scrap and surplus assets, ensuring proper classification, valuation, and descriptions for sales transactions.



  • Serve as the authority for all SAP inventory transactions (Goods Receipts, Goods Issues, Stock Transfers, Adjustments, etc.) and ensure compliance with financial and auditing standards.



  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure SAP processes meet corporate and external compliance requirements, maintaining high governance and approval standards.



  • Develop, implement, and maintain a standardized material valuation tool and methodology for assessing fair market and reserved sales values, especially for high-value assets.



  • Manage the Repair and Repurposing process, tracking material from initial receipt through inspection, refurbishment, reclassification, and valuation in SAP.



  • Develop and execute yard surveillance activity plans, ensuring frequent site visits to prepare assets for sale, verify security, assess material condition, and reconcile physical checks against SAP records.



Required Qualifications & Experience


Education




  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.



  • Certification in CIPS is a plus.



Experience




  • Minimum 5 years in inventory management, supply chain, or materials control in a large-scale industrial environment.



  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing SAP Inventory Management and Material Master data, including SAP Sales & Distribution module.



  • Experience in asset classification, repair, and reuse processes is highly desirable.



  • Prior exposure to Oil & Gas or heavy industrial/metals sectors is advantageous.



  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
