Job Summary

The Credit Manager will oversee all aspects of credit control and ensure timely collection of receivables. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments, external clients, and key stakeholders to maintain healthy cash flow and mitigate credit risks. The Credit Manager will uphold Shangri-La's financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

As a General Cashier, we rely on you to:-

• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure effective credit control.
• Monitor customer accounts to assess creditworthiness and recommend credit limits.
• Approve or escalate credit applications in line with the hotel's policies.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
• Monitor aged receivables and follow up on overdue accounts to minimize bad debts.
• Liaise with the Sales and Reservations teams to resolve disputes or discrepancies.
• Conduct regular credit risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor market and client financial stability for early warning signs.
• Prepare regular credit reports, including aging reports, and present them to senior management.
• Analyze trends in collections and propose improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, including VAT or any other releavnt laws of Oman
  
  

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is often preferred.
• Strong understanding of credit management, risk assessment, and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in financial systems (e.g., OPERA, SunSystems) and Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
