Corporate Tax Director - Oman


Ideal Candidate Profile:


  • Independent Responsibility: Manages a segment of the practice independently while consulting with the Partner on critical issues, clients, and decisions.
  • Market Insight: Possesses a strong understanding of regional and local markets to identify business opportunities for the practice and other company functions.
  • Business Development: Actively engages in developing relationships with existing and prospective clients to generate projects and revenue across the tax practice and other business areas.
  • Proposal Preparation: Leads the preparation and participation in tax and multifunctional project proposals, including strategy development, engagement pricing, coordination with stakeholders, and client interactions throughout the proposal process.
  • Engagement Delivery: Provides high-quality tax services that meet client needs and align with company quality standards.
  • Client Relationships: Maintains ongoing professional relationships with a client portfolio, including senior roles such as CFOs and Heads of Tax.
  • Networking: Builds and sustains relationships with other company functions, network offices, and relevant external stakeholders.



Skills and Attributes:


  • Qualifications: Accounting (CA, ACCA, CPA) or Legal qualification with 12–14 years of experience in corporate tax consulting.
  • Corporate Tax Expertise: In-depth knowledge of corporate tax, including tax treaty networks, tax policy, and tax risk management.
  • M&A Tax Experience: Significant experience in tax due diligence, structuring acquisitions and divestments, and acquisition support activities.
  • Tax Technical Knowledge: Practical understanding of tax accounting, transfer pricing, and International Executive Services tax principles; basic awareness of VAT and related tax areas.
  • Business Development & Client Management: Proven ability to develop business opportunities, follow up on leads, prepare and convert proposals, and generate work for the company. Maintains strong relationships with key clients, prospects, international network contacts, and legal professionals.
  • Revenue Growth: Skilled in identifying target clients, preparing and implementing action plans to drive revenue growth, and cross-selling other company services.
