Officer Electrical - ETP (Dairy)- Farm

Apt Resources is seeking an Officer Electrical - ETP to join our client's dairy farm operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical systems of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and ensuring that they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and supporting sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the electrical systems within the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in ETP machinery and equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical installations
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and advancements in ETP technology
  • Assist in developing and implementing electrical maintenance procedures and protocols
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and outages, coordinating with other departments as needed to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance
  • Prepare reports on electrical system status, issues, and improvements for management review
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and prevent malfunctions
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults and issues promptly to ensure continuous operation of the ETP
  • Monitor the performance of electrical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with operational standards
  • Implement improvements and upgrades to enhance system performance and energy efficiency
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to prevent electrical hazards and ensure a safe working environment


Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a dairy farm, agricultural setting, or ETP environment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and machinery
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems is a plus
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and handle responsibilities efficiently
  • Understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations relevant to electrical systems
