We are seeking a skilled waitress for our prestigious client in Muscat, Oman. The role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and enhancing the dining experience with patience, a friendly attitude, and persistence. Responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed menu information, managing front-of-house duties, and handling bill payments. Preferably Filipino, Nepali, Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian Nationals

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and escort customers to their tables.
  • Present the menu and provide detailed information about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.
  • Inform customers about the day’s specials.
  • Offer menu recommendations upon request.
  • Upsell additional products when appropriate.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using POS software, order slips, or by memory.
  • Verify customers’ IDs to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages.
  • Communicate order details to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and drink orders.
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, and report any issues.
  • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
  • Deliver checks and collect payments.
  • Transport dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications for reservations (e.g., parties).
  • Adhere to all relevant health department regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests.

Requirements

Requirement:

  • Proven experience as a waitress
  • Hands-on experience with cash registers and ordering systems
  • Basic math skills
  • Attentive and patient with customers
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a knack for thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Active listening and effective communication skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • High school diploma required; food safety training is a plus

Duty: 9 hours per day 6 days a week (with one hour break)

Gender: Female

Nationality: Preferably Filipino, Nepali, Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian Nationals
