Job Purpose :
To contribute to the development and ensure the effective implementation of financial policies and procedures across all operational finance areas which includes accounts receivables and payables and fixed assets
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities :
- Ensure a robust financial control, processes and procedures are implemented and impacting receivables, payables and fixed assets
- Provides inputs to the General Manager Strategic Finance and other stakeholders (internal & external) for the purpose of budgeting & financial reporting, tax, and treasury activities and financial modelling and economic analysis
- Manage account payable activities including Vendors payments management, reconciliation and credit card management.
- Prepare periodic presentations for the Finance Champions and stakeholders on accounts payable activities relating to their respective sectors and departments
- Manage account receivables activities including Revenue estimation and monitoring and Receivable monitoring.
- Manage activities related to Fixed Asset Management including Asset accounting, tracking & verification, Capex estimation & monitoring, System optimization and enhancements and Capex project monitoring and reports.
- Maintaining and enhancing internal controls related to Fixed assets management
- Ensure all FD operations related documentation are completed, updated and maintained as required including FD policies & procedures
- Prepare accurate and timely management reports on a regular and Adhoc basis as required
- Direct and ensure the preparation and analysis of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheet and cash flow statements in accordance with financial accounting standards
- Set and agree on performance objectives for all direct reports and provide coaching and feedback to teams/individuals in line with good people management practices to ensure job responsibilities are optimally delivered
- Establish and ensure the implementation of a robust financial control and governance environment by defining financial standards for be’ah in line with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Establish SLAs and guidelines for service delivery by the Department that ensures the provision of timely, effective and professional support to internal Sectors/ Departments and employees
- Adhere to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures, instructions, controls, and role specific OHSE KPIs in order to guarantee the safety of employees, quality of products/ services and environmental compliance
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration in which case Major must be in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 10 years of total experience, minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience required .
The ideal candidate will preferably have previous management or supervisory experience
Certifications :
Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CIMA, CA or equivalent is desirable
