Role Purpose:
As a BSS/OSS Application Administrator, will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Business Support Systems (BSS), Operations Support Systems (OSS) and manage the network that connects both systems. This position requires a deep understanding of telecommunication networks, hands-on experience with BSS/OSS systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize application and network performance.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer BSS/OSS applications, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure, customize, and integrate BSS/OSS solutions to meet business requirements.
- Solve issue escalated from layer 1 BSS helpdesk as layer 2 agent.
- Ensures the smooth functioning of the IT/BSS/OSS network, detect, and addresses issues, and optimizes network performance.
- Administer and maintain CRM, ERP, Website billing, and IVR/call center systems.
- Administer and maintain Awasr Website services.
- Monitor system health, conduct regular audits, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Integrate BSS with OSS to streamline operations and improve data flow.
- Manage and implement system integrations through API, middleware, or caching methodology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Lead the integration of new BSS/OSS applications and systems into the existing network infrastructure.
- Coordinate and execute system upgrades, ensuring minimal impact on ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement the latest technologies and features.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard BSS/OSS applications and network infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and address vulnerabilities promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for BSS/OSS configurations, network designs, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Generate reports on network performance, system health, and compliance status.
- Designing BSS and OSS solutions based on the specific requirements of the telecommunications network.
- Implementing and integrating BSS and OSS components into the existing network infrastructure.
- Manage the operational aspects of a telecommunications network. Including network management, service assurance, fault management, and performance monitoring systems.
- Encompasses the systems that support the business side of a telecommunications service provider. This includes customer management, billing, order management, and revenue assurance systems.
- Ensures efficient and accurate billing, manages customer accounts, and handles service provisioning.
- Providing training to other team members and end-users on BSS and OSS systems.
- Deal with the operational aspects of a telecommunications network which includes network management, service assurance, fault management, and performance monitoring systems.
- Plan and execute data migration activities when transitioning to new systems or upgrading existing ones.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency during migration processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in System Application Administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
