* Develop and review detailed engineering design deliverables for gas processing facilities (e.g., dehydration units, separators, compressors, heat exchangers, and piping systems).
* Prepare and check design documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, line lists, and material take-offs.
* Perform technical calculations and sizing for equipment and piping in line with project specifications and applicable codes (API, ASME, ANSI, etc.).
* Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure design integration.
* Assist in the preparation of engineering design packages for FEED and EPC stages.
* Support 3D model reviews and ensure the design complies with HSE and operability standards.
* Interface with vendors and manufacturers for equipment selection and design validation.
* Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability assessments.
* Ensure design activities stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.
* Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases.
Skills
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree
* 15+ years of experience in design engineering, preferably within the gas processing or oil & gas industry.
* Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PDMS/E3D, Caesar II, HYSYS, or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of piping and equipment design.
* Ability to interpret and generate detailed engineering drawings and documents.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in modular plant design or skid-mounted units.
* Exposure to greenfield and brownfield gas processing projects.
* Familiarity with international projects and working with cross-functional teams.
* Working knowledge of digital design tools like SmartPlant, Navisworks, or Revit.
