URGENT HIRING FOR QA QC ENGINEER (Mechanical)

Industry: Oil & Gas / Refinery / Pipeline

Location: GCC / Middle East

Position: QC Engineer Mechanical

Experience: Minimum 15 Years

We are looking for an experienced QC Engineer Mechanical with extensive experience in pipeline, piping, tanks, pressure equipment, valves, rotating equipment, and refinery construction projects .

Qualification & Certifications

  • HNC / HND / Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Metallurgy , or relevant technical qualification
  • CSWIP 3.1 / AWS or equivalent certification
  • ASNT / EN 473 / PCN Level II certification in RT, PT, MT & UT techniques
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and metallurgical testing requirements

Experience Required

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant inspection/QC experience for HNC/HND candidates
  • Extensive experience in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Piping, Tanks, Pressure Equipment, Valves, Rotating Equipment, and Refinery Construction
  • Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, mechanical inspection, testing, and quality documentation
  • Experience working with approved ITPs, procedures, method statements, and project quality requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement QA/QC activities , including inspection and surveillance of subcontractors and suppliers, in accordance with approved ITPs, procedures, method statements, and quality control documents.
  • Prepare, review, and sign off applicable inspection, testing, and quality surveillance records .
  • Conduct surveillance inspections to ensure compliance with approved processes and procedures.
  • Monitor construction activities and ensure required quality standards are maintained.
  • Raise RFIs (Request for Inspection) to the client for day-to-day construction activities.
  • Witness pigging, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing , and other applicable inspection and testing activities.
  • Conduct line walks and prepare, monitor, and close punch lists.
  • Witness and verify PQR/WQT activities in accordance with approved PWPS/WPS .
  • Verify that all materials are procured from approved suppliers and comply with project specifications.
  • Monitor and ensure timely closure of NCRs , including suitable correction and corrective actions.
  • Maintain records related to calibration, inspection, and testing equipment .
  • Ensure the latest approved versions of applicable drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality documents are available at site.
  • Witness qualification procedures and tests and certify the results as applicable.
  • Issue Inspection Release Notes (IRN) and sign test packs / QC dossiers as required.
  • Coordinate with clients, third-party inspectors, subcontractors, and construction teams on quality-related matters.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Site Quality Engineer / Quality Manager regarding day-to-day quality issues and concerns.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and inspection practices
  • Good understanding of NDT techniques and welding inspection
  • Knowledge of quality audits and quality management systems
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong reporting, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

Desired Candidate Profile
