Job Details

Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents to safeguard the Company's interests. Support the CGO and senior management in corporate governance matters, including policy governance, shareholder meetings, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions. Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders to achieve effective and commercially sound outcomes. Provide legal oversight and guidance to the Claims Department to ensure consistent, efficient, and compliant claims handling practices. Review complex, sensitive, and high-value claims to assess legal exposure, regulatory implications, and potential business impact, and provide appropriate recommendations. Ensure claims activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Identify and implement process improvements within legal and claims-related activities to reduce risk, improve efficiency, enhance customer experience, and support timely claim settlements. Prepare and present periodic reports and analysis on legal matters, claims trends, litigation cases, regulatory developments, and financial exposures to the CGO and senior management. Monitor and support recovery processes relating to subrogation, salvage, reinsurance recoveries, and outstanding legal receivables, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Support the development, implementation, and periodic review of legal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to strengthen the Company's control environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master s degree in law.
  • Professional certifications in arbitration, governance, compliance, or commercial law are desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in legal advisory, corporate law, governance, or litigation.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services.
  • Exposure to claims management and dispute resolution is an advantage.
  • Experience in legal claims management, risk assessment, recovery, and settlement management, as well as legal reporting and advisory services.
