Job Title: HSE Officer (Health, Safety & Environment Officer)

Reports To: HSE Manager / Safety Manager / Site Manager

Salary Range: OMR PHONE_NUMBER per month

Work Location: All governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate)

The HSE Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across workplace operations. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, promotes a safe working environment, and assists in monitoring and reporting safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine site inspections and identify potential hazards and risks.
• Assist in implementing safety programs, risk assessments, and preventive measures.
• Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
• Support investigation of accidents and preparation of incident reports.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Conduct safety awareness sessions and toolbox talks for staff.
• Maintain HSE records, documentation, and compliance reports.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and response procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to promote a strong safety culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma only in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical Experience: 0 years (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.)
• Basic understanding of HSE principles and workplace safety standards.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to prepare simple reports and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Good communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to follow procedures and enforce safety rules.
• Teamwork and coordination skills.
• Responsibility and high safety awareness.
• Willingness to work in field/site environments.
• Site-based and office-based work environment.
• May require field inspections and outdoor work.
• Standard working hours with possible additional safety shifts when required.
• The applicant must be a job seeker.
• The applicant must be an Omani national.
• For applicants with previous work experience, at least three (3) months since their last employment movement recorded in the Ministry of Labour system, as of the date of this announcement.
• The applicant must not have previously benefited from any training program funded by either the public or private sector.
• The applicant must have no more than three (3) years of work experience.
• The applicant must not be more than 38 years of age
