The Cargo Operations Leader will be responsible for leading and growing the cargo business. The role oversees the overall performance, including flight operations, maintenance, safety, compliance, commercial activities, financial performance, and people management.

The position is responsible for developing and executing the business strategy, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations while maintaining full compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards. The role drives business growth, expands cargo networks, builds strategic partnerships, optimizes aircraft utilization, and delivers sustainable financial results.

The candidate will provide leadership support across all operational, technical, commercial, and support functions, while promoting a strong safety culture, operational excellence, innovation, and workforce development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the cargo business strategy.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.

• Deliver revenue growth, profitability, and business expansion targets.

• Manage budgets, costs, cash flow, and overall financial performance.

• Build and maintain relationships with customers, regulators, airports, freight forwarders, and business partners.

• Optimize fleet utilization, route planning, and cargo operations.

• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and corporate governance requirements.

• Lead safety, security, risk management, and business continuity initiatives.

• Drive digital transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Develop leadership capability, succession plans, and employee engagement.

• Support workforce localization and talent development objectives.

An experienced aviation leader with extensive knowledge of cargo operations, airline management, aviation regulations, commercial development, financial management, and people leadership.
