  • Lead production engineering input into Concept Select, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Field Development Plan (FDP) studies.
  • Develop and evaluate well and production system design options (well architecture, completion strategy, artificial lift screening where applicable).
  • Assess surface and subsurface integration to ensure optimal reservoir-to-export system design.
  • Conduct deliverability and network modeling studies to define production capacity scenarios.

Production Forecasting & Technical Assumptions

  • Develop technically sound production forecasts and decline profiles in collaboration with Subsurface teams.
  • Validate well productivity assumptions, inflow performance, and reservoir deliverability inputs.
  • Provide production scenarios for economic modeling and portfolio evaluation.
  • Support reserves maturation processes with defensible production modeling.

Development Optimization & Value Engineering

  • Identify development optimization opportunities to enhance recovery and capital efficiency.
  • Evaluate alternative development concepts, phasing strategies, and infrastructure sizing.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses on well count, spacing, timing, and production plateau strategies.
  • Support value engineering initiatives to improve project economics prior to FID.

Commercial & Economic Integration

  • Provide production engineering inputs for economic evaluations, including capex profiling and operating strategy assumptions.
  • Ensure alignment between production strategies and gas sales agreements, capacity commitments, and commercialization plans.
  • Support investment memoranda and technical justification for new venture approvals.
  • Participate in asset screening and ranking exercises from a production feasibility perspective.

Risk & Uncertainty Management

  • Identify technical risks affecting production performance, ramp-up timing, and recovery.
  • Conduct scenario and probabilistic analysis on production uncertainties.
  • Define mitigation strategies to reduce subsurface and development risks prior to sanction.

Governance & Technical Assurance

  • Establish production engineering standards, modeling workflows, and study assurance processes.
  • Review and validate production studies performed by consultants or partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company technical authority frameworks and industry best practices.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
