About Company:



Our client operates fourteen manufacturing facilities producing power plant equipment and sugar-related products. Its Power Transmission Business, established in Mysore in 1976, specializes in high-speed high-power gearboxes having an installation base of 12000+ gearboxes, spanning over 80+ countries and catering to diverse applications & industry segments.



An Ideal Candidate:



Position Title : DGM / Additional GM



Role Type : People Manager



Reporting to : Vice President – Marketing, Contracts & Services



Location : Mysuru



Travel : Domestic



Experience:-



• Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in capital goods industry, preferably in engineered-to-order rotary equipment (gearboxes, pumps, compressors, turbines, couplings).



• At least 8-10 years in aftermarket/services/spares/retrofit business with direct accountability for revenue and profitability.



• Minimum 5 years of people management experience leading sales teams at national or multi-regional level.



• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales and profit targets in B2C industrial markets.



Qualifications:-



• Essential ▪ Convent educated



Bachelor of Engineering -Mechanical from a recognized university Full time



• Desirable ▪ MBA -Marketing from reputed institution.

Job Role Summary :-



Looking for a self-motivated and high performing marketing professional in the aftermarket space with rich experience in the Engineered-To-Order capital goods industry.



Responsible for developing and executing overall strategy, managing people, and establishing policies.



Support sales strategy by enhancing brand equity by staying abreast of the best trends/ practices in branding / digital through social media and industry benchmarking.



Responsible for Marketing and Business Development of High Speed Engineered to order, new product business in Domestic and Overseas across all applications like Steam Turbine and Gas Turbine Generators, Centrifugal Pumps, compressors, and Fans.



He should be a thoughtful leader and confident decision maker helping develop people and be productive while ensuring profit enhancement.



Key Responsibilities



• Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence.



• Building Strategic Networks with people inside and outside the organization to advance the business goals.



• Ensure that the business targets are Achieved on time.



• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.



• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.



• Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports & realistic forecasts to the management team.



• Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in order to keep the budgets and optimize expenses.



• Build and lead high performing marketing team with strong business objectives, monitor and coach the performance of the team.



• Develop, engage, and retain talented people by creating a work environment where people can realize their potential.




Skill and Competencies:



• Successful previous experience of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.



• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels.



• Experience in both products and aftermarket sales and/or in replacement solutions of engineered products.



• Aftermarket sales, preferred only from engineered to order business[excluding managing dealers and distributors] an added advantage



• Dynamic and Go getter personality with the ability to think, assess, decide and operate in multiple market scenarios



• Proven ability to drive the aftermarket sales process from plan to execution.



• Strong business acumen and industry expertise. ▪ Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.



• Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)



• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems for sales order management, CRM, forecasting, and analytics.



• Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for business planning, analysis, and presentations.



• Demonstrated proven track record of winning orders against all odds.



• Must have high work ethics, high level of energy, motivation, and enthusiasm.



• Highly organized and comfortable working mindset to reach strict deadlines.



• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills



• A presentable and pleasing personality would be needed.



• Should be a quick learner and enjoy travel extensively as needed.
