Operations Manager - F&B

On behalf of the client, we seek an Operations Manager in the F&B industry to ensure smooth and efficient operations across all facets of the business. This role focuses on overseeing day-to-day activities, optimizing processes, managing teams, and ensuring high-quality service and product delivery while adhering to industry standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments, including kitchen, service, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Monitor and improve operational workflows to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with managers and staff to maintain smooth operations in compliance with company standards.

2. Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and local laws.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food, beverages, and service to maintain brand standards.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent performance.

3. Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage and train team members, including kitchen staff, servers, and supervisors.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for skill development.

4. Financial Oversight

  • Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports, including profit margins, operational costs, and sales data, to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and monitor operational budgets.

5. Supply Chain and Inventory Management

  • Oversee procurement, storage, and inventory control of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Monitor stock levels and reduce wastage by implementing efficient inventory management systems.

6. Customer Experience Management

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on reviews and surveys.
  • Work with marketing teams to align operations with promotional campaigns and events.

7. Process Optimization and Innovation

  • Identify bottlenecks in operations and implement process improvements.
  • Integrate technology solutions (e.g., POS systems, reservation platforms) to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative practices to maintain competitiveness.

8. Safety and Risk Management

  • Ensure workplace safety by adhering to occupational health standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and implement contingency plans for emergencies or disruptions.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (mandatory).
  • Master’s Degree (MBA) in Operations or Hospitality Management (preferred but not essential).
  • 5+ years of experience in the F&B industry, with operations, restaurant management, or hospitality roles.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing multiple teams or outlets.
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and achieving KPIs.
  • In-depth understanding of F&B operations, including kitchen workflows, service protocols, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
  • Knowledge of customer service excellence and quality assurance in the F&B industry.
