Business Executive, Cyber Insurance

Role Overview:

The Business Executive – Cyber Insurance will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving the growth of the cyber insurance portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber risk, insurance products, and market trends, coupled with a strong sales and relationship management background.


Key Responsibilities:


Market Expansion and Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the cyber insurance market, including potential clients, partnerships, and distribution channels.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics, and apply this knowledge to target potential clients.


Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, Cyber Reinsurance team and industry associations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients in helping them providing expert advice and solutions to meet their cyber insurance needs through Howden Cyber Team.
  • Engage in client presentations, negotiations, and contract finalization to secure new business.


Product and Service Development

  • Collaborate with Howden Cyber team, product teams, and technical experts to develop customized cyber insurance solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the product development team to enhance existing products and develop new offerings.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's products remain competitive and relevant.


Business Development of Cyber Insurance

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and sales pitches to potential clients.
  • Track and report on sales performance, including pipeline activity, deal closure rates, and revenue growth.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to enhance professional knowledge and network with industry peers.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (preferably Cyber Security or IT)
  • 2-3 years of experience in the insurance or business development field
