Our client, a large conglomerate in Oman, is looking to appoint a visionary Head of IT to steer their technology strategy and operations. The Head of IT will be at the forefront of transforming the company’s technological framework to ensure that it not only supports but propels the organization’s ambitious goals.

The Role:

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the IT landscape of a diverse group, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation across multiple business units.

• Develop and implement IT strategies that are in line with the group’s business goals, ensuring alignment and driving innovation across the organization.
• Oversee IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring their efficiency, security, and scalability to meet future needs.
• Lead IT projects, from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the defined quality standards.
• Establish clear KPIs to measure the effectiveness of IT systems and continuously improve processes to optimize performance.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with external vendors, overseeing contract negotiations and service delivery to ensure optimal results.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards, data privacy regulations, and company policies, while proactively managing cybersecurity risks.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Skills

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven leadership experience in IT management within a large-scale organization or conglomerate.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex IT projects, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
• Expertise in vendor management, negotiation, and establishing service level agreements (SLAs).
• Excellent people management and coaching skills with the ability to inspire teams and drive performance.
• Relevant advanced qualifications, including a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields. Certifications like PMP or ITIL are a plus.
