Job Purpose:
To promote & develop the sales of light & medium multi-brand construction equipment, by identifying prospects & projects in the market, supporting customers with suitable solutions/proposals, techno-commercial negotiations, and close follow up to convert potential enquiries into orders, to achieve department sales targets.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Is self-driven, result-oriented and meets department assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines and works as one team to close the sales cycle
- Extensively move around in the assigned territory, to explore the market, meet existing & new customers to develop & grow Multi Brand construction equipment business
- Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers; plan and organize sales calls and schedule daily & regular customer visits in and outside Muscat region
- Identify current and future projects in the market, verify them and deal in a way, as to increase the chances of winning the project.
- Finalizes project deals by meeting customer requirements and project budget
- Gain customer acceptance/confidence, by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements
- Keep a record of submitted priced offers and other related correspondence with clients & systematically follows-up to close sales
- Manage time effectively, to maximize productivity
- Report weekly to the Sales Manager on all sales activities conducted & also submit regular visit reports on client calls made
- Actively gather market intelligence about activities of competitors in the market and regularly updates through weekly reports
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; product trainings; visiting the sites; witnessing testing and commissioning
- Coordinate closely with suppliers' technical teams, in order to comply with client/project requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 4-5 years' work experience in Multi brand products (Portable compressors, Compaction Rollers, Road Machinery, Dump trucks, Concrete equipment, Backhoe loaders and other light construction equipment
- Proficient in English language; proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage
- Proficient in sales and negotiation skills, territory management.
- Essential computer proficiency, such as Microsoft office, Auto CAD
- Oman/UAE driving license and own car are a must requirement
