  • ResponsibilitiesThe Job Holder is accountable for the following activities during Ruya Batch 1 EPCIC12 Riser Platform project execution at WORKSITE (Sohar, Oman):
  • Safety: Complete all necessary safety trainings (IF+, HSE Golden Rules, etc.) in a timely manner. Understand NOC HSE Policy and HSE KPIs and demonstrate a responsible and constructive HSE behavior during whole project life. Abide by local, international, and Company safety standards and engage (stop work) in unsafe activities and create positive/negative observation cards. Attend TBM (Toolbox Meeting) regularly for daily structural activities and normally stay worksites to supervise all works are carried out in a safe manner.  
  • Drawings/Procedures: Review all scaffolding drawings, procedures in accordance with CPY specification and BS EN 12810-1 & BS EN 12811-1 & NASC(National Access & Scaffolding Confederation)  
  • Materials and storage: Make sure CTR to maintain the scaffolding materials in a proper manner. And ensure CTR not to use damaged materials.  
  • Site Inspection: Ensure that all scaffolding activities carried-out by Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors conform to established requirements.
  • Communication/Meeting/Reporting: Engagement with CTR on day to day activities and report any abnormal/unsafe activities to N+1/N+2 and CPY HES team. 
  • Ruya Batch 1 Project is mainly a Greenfield Project with installation of new surface facilities but there will be also a major Brownfield challenge for integration of the new RP into existing facilities on B locations in term of interfaces with other NOC entities and SIMOPS works.
  • To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities.
  • To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws, and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices.
  • To monitor design, certification of all scaffolding structures on site according to relevant specification and standards
  • To Inspect all scaffold erected with the boundaries of the project Construction sites and yards to ensure they are suitable for safe use and comply with the relevant industry standards and Company permit to work procedure.
  • To inspect and assess the condition of the scaffolding material, reject damaged, defective and substandard material.
  •  To ensure that the Contractor maintain a record of condition of all scaffolding material and assemblies, and they are maintained correctly.
  • To provide advice on the suitability of the specialized scaffold supplied by Contractor to meet the health and safety requirement of the Company with respect to design and access in case of plant upset condition.
  • To anticipate limitations of space, access in Brown field (SIMOPS) environment while scaffold works in vicinity of live, sensitive equipment’s.
  • To provide technical advice on scaffolding works and participate in works requiring high level of skills.
  • To monitor organization of day-to-day scaffolding activities at site at various location as required.
  • To review scaffolding calculation provided by contractor and ensure scaffold erection in compliance with calculations.
  • To assess Contractor’s scaffolding team members for their skills, competency and qualification.
  • To assist for site surveys, job planning, manpower and material management.
  • To Review Contractor’s daily progress report, highlight discrepancies and anticipate shortfalls.


Skills

  • Skills / QualificationsAdvanced Scaffolding Level III,
  • Scaffold Inspector certified by Certified Scaffolding Training Institute
  • At least 10 years’ experience of scaffolding activities in onshore fabrication site with oil & gas project, with minimum 3 years’ experience in fixed platforms – topside and/or jacket.  
  • Available for technical missions worldwide
