Accounts Receivable Manager

The Finance function:

is responsible for the budget development, preparation of financial reports and other management reports, consolidation of reports for submission to the Board of Directors. It is also responsible for cash and bank management and payroll processing in addition to handling the accounting activities including processing of receivables, payables as well as fixed assets.


Job Purpose:

The Receivables Manager tracks down the overdue receivables and ensures that they are paid on time, maintains good customer relations with tenants and effectively solves problems in an effort to resolve account delinquency and prevent write-offs.


Accounts Receivable Management

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly reconciliations from clients and notify managers in cases of discrepancies.
  • Keep the unallocated, unbilled and unearned revenue account clean and reconciled.
  • Recommend internal changes to policies and guidelines if necessary.
  • Provide support to the finance department as and when needed.
  • Deliver additional tasks that may be delegated or assigned on the Accounting, Budgeting & Reporting from the VP of Finance.
  • Adopt and implement different sets of accounting standards as occurred by each of the Authorities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, processes and systems related to the Finance function rules and regulations that can haven impact on Finance’s standards, processes and procedures.
  • Manage the preparation and recommend the sectional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across the organization for invoice inputs Interact with internal and external auditors, government entities, banks, internal and external customers as necessary to complete audits.
  • Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or equivalent.
  • 8 years’ experience in a similar function.
  • Proven experience as debt collector.
  • Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
  • Strong business partner who can spell out the business implications from the numbers and speak his/her mind and articulates business issues/recommendations at management level.
  • Hold experience in IFRS Standards.
  • Significant professional accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of reputed financial / accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of financial planning and budgeting
  • Specialization in accounting and finance.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Budgeting.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate internal and external stakeholder skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Mature, proactive, energetic, hands-on and result driven with strong passion for excellence and attention for operation details.
  • Practical experience in manager level presentation skills.
