Role Purpose:
Overseeing and Leading the successful planning, execution, and delivery
of digital transformation projects in IT and telecommunications. It
involves managing cross-functional units, collaborating with
stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed within scope,
schedule, and budget with high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the management of multi-million, complex, large-scale IT and Network projects in close coordination with relevant teams, and stakeholders.
- Set clear project objectives and success criteria, and continuously monitor/assess achievements and impact on the overall organization.
- Oversees the interrelated projects and ensure objectives alignments company goals and prioritize projects accordingly.
- Make data-driven decisions to maximize project benefits, optimize cosand/or reduce timelines.
- Lead the analysis of projects pipeline and recommend changes in project portfolio, if any, to technical teams and heads.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining the project’s scope, objectives, schedule, milestones, resource allocation, risk assessment and project deliverables.
- Own the master plan and facilitate monthly project progress meetings to discuss the status, issues and action plans.
- Conduct regular status updates, progress reports and steering commit meetings to keep stakeholders informed.
- Establish effective communication with all stakeholders including high management, internal teams, vendors, and end-users to address expectations during the project duration.
- Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure vendors performance to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Continuous monitoring of vendors and 3rd -party providers’ contracts negotiate optimization costs and service quality.
- Conduct thorough risk assessment to identify potential risks and their subsequent impact on the project, develop mitigation/contingency plans and strategies to illuminate/minimize any potential disruption, and maintain risk management plan.
- Identify key stakeholders and establish communication matrices for their engagement and escalations on relation to critical issues and risks whilst providing resolution recommendations.
- Put historical lessons learnt from other projects and projects in practice to reduce risks.
- Support relevant technical teams in conducting technical feasibility studies, defining specifications, projects’ budgets, design, initiation and approval, RFQs, RFPs...etc.
