• Build and improve mathematical models and algorithms that further optimize business outcomes.

1. As a Data Scientist, you will work across the following areas:

o Exploratory analysis: use data to suggest and prove hypotheses

o Modeling: build optimization / predictive / statistical models to learn from data and estimate unknowns

o Data operations: query data, deploy models and automate pipelines on local server or cloud.

2. Experience with common data science toolkits, programming languages, visualisation tools and databases.

3. Good applied statistical knowledge with emphasis in logistics, business and finance related statistical distributions, statistical testing, modeling, regression analysis, etc.

4. Experience with distributed computing platforms and open-source tools and libraries.

5. Familiar or prone to adopt design thinking methods.

6. Able to work under pressure and change, and balance among speed, reliability, interpretability.

7. Experience with code versioning, code review and documentation.

8. Familiarity and experience in one or more of the following specialized areas:

Machine Learning

• Understanding of machine learning algorithms such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision trees.

• Experience using ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

• Experience using Cloud Platform products and services.

Algorithm Engineering

• Strong ability to implement, improve, and deploy ML and Math model, preferably in Python.

• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.

• Develop and maintain the design and troubleshooting/error documentation.

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information technology or a related discipline (e.g., Mathematics or Engineering). with 06 years of relevant work experience Post-graduate degree in a relevant field would be an asset

 OR Two years college diploma in Computer Science, Information technology or a related discipline (e.g., Mathematics or Engineering). with 08 years of relevant work experience.

 OR Specialized certificate/ license in the related field with aviation experience & Secondary school certificate and having 12 years of relevant work experience (For internal candidates Only).

Python, R, SAS or other statistical software experience.

Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (preferred).
