Position: Senior Officer – Value Added Tax (VAT) Team

Job Description:

Moore Oman is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer to join our Value Added Tax (VAT) team. This role is ideal for a professional who is adept at managing and overseeing tax compliance and reporting, particularly in the area of indirect taxes. The successful candidate will independently handle VAT compliance for large organizations, provide expert advisories, manage VAT refunds, and lead litigation efforts when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee tax compliance and reporting, with a focus on indirect taxes.

• Independently handle VAT compliance for large organizations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Provide VAT advisories and manage VAT refunds, offering expert guidance to clients.

• Lead VAT-related litigation processes, representing clients effectively.

• Stay updated with the latest tax laws and legislation to provide informed advice to clients.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met.

• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex tax issues.

• Exhibit excellent communication and drafting skills to effectively convey complex tax matters to clients and team members.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an indirect tax role, with a deep understanding of VAT, GST, and customs laws.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and drafting skills.

• Holds a professional qualification (CA or ACCA).
