Head of Sales - Oman

Head of Sales is primarily responsible, for generating new revenue and gross profit for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics through contact with new and existing customers across Oman.


Responsibilities:


  • Defines a vision and creates a winning strategy, that draws upon the strengths of Hellmann and responds to specific market needs, generating competitive advantage on existing markets and developing consistent new revenue streams that will guarantee short and long term achievement.
  • Secure and develop new prospective customers within Oman.
  • Demonstrates outstanding execution track along sales cycle, ensuring SAP's sales methodologies and common processes are in place and defining clear territory engagement guidelines.
  • Monitors and takes necessary measures, to ensure adequate pipeline of opportunities and demand generations for sustainable growth.
  • Utilizes a disciplined approach for successful solution selling, establishing and maintaining accurate, timely and documented sales revenue forecasting procedures, providing required updates to country MD.
  • Builds a network of executive relationships across industry, community, business groups, key partners and customers to stay current on issues impacting business and sales, providing meaningful strategic advice to retain and grow their business through integrated solutions.
  • Supports the development of solid references.
  • Drives the team towards expected market penetration and customers/partners satisfaction levels.
  • Drives each sales team member toward expected quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Successfully convert opportunities (RFQs / tenders etc.) into sales revenue for the company.
  • Follow company reporting formats and targets including contact reports, sales forecasts and market/competitor information.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching and training to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, market trends and competitive activities.
  • Track sales performance metrics, prepare and analyze sales reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Work closely with other departments such as operations, finance and marketing to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with the company's business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Facilitates alignment and effective communication within sales team and internal/external key partners/customers and promptly resolve any conflict to encourage harmonious and productive interaction.
  • Support the management by contributing on the changing local market scenarios and also new developments in areas, territories, industrial verticals where the company is not active.


Skills:


  • Bachelors'/Master's degree
  • Valid Oman driver's license
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of business development
  • Well versed with custom regulations of Oman
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Fluent communication skills in English. Arabic is an added advantage
