DHL Global Forwarding Oman has an opening for a Junior Controller where you will support to develop and administer Controlling processes and activities for financial or non-financial (e.g. ESG) planning, analysis and management in line with business objectives, Group standards, accounting principles and regulations.  Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

  

In this Junior Controller position

 
  • You will execute controlling processes and activities to collect, compile, verify and analyze financial and / or non[1]financial information and economic indicators to provide accurate and timely information for management decision making.
  • You will develop and administer Credit and Collections plans and processes to minimize risk, ensure timely repayments, minimize losses and economic collection of arrears.
  • You will prepare accurate and timely monthly collections reports and Accounts Receivable age analysis and reporting.
  • You will support development of and administer a range of Controlling processes and activities (from monthly reporting, financial planning and forecasting to budgeting, analysis and business cases) for specific business area(s) as per set standards and timelines.
  • You will analyze, prepare and compile budgets.
  • You will adhere to policies, programs and systems related to Controlling.
  • You will identify patterns of issues and suggest enhancements for Controlling processes and methods.
  • You will understand and support the setting of standards, targets, schedules and improvements to enhance transparency and efficiency, e.g. through digitalization and automation.
  • You will where applicable (e.g. for ESG Controlling), support in building up reporting processes, collection of data and definition of KPIs.
  • You will effectively communicate the story behind numbers in terms business partners understand.
  • You will guide less-experienced team members.
  • You will monitor status of individual credit accounts to identify and address problem debts.
  • You will follow up with reminder letters and emails to customers to process claims for outstanding accounts.
  • You may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • You will support and interact primarily with colleagues of own function.
  • You may convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • You will build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers.
  • You will build relationships and understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns.
  • You will address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent experience/qualification.
  • 2 years’ experiences or more.
