Job Purpose:

Design and verify assigned technical drawings for pipelines construction activities, land lease agreements, projects and the entire master plan within SOHAR Port and Free zone common areas in a timely, accurate and complete fashion in order to support development requests in compliance with defined guidelines.

Drawing Design/ Engineering Drafting

• Design and manage centerlines and crossing drawings for new pipelines, cables, Pipe Bridge, roads and other type of utilities located within SIP Group, Free zone common areas and public corridors in a timely and accurate manner to meet development requirements and the issuance of any construction permits.
• Design plot plan drawings for land lease agreements showing the full coordinates of utilities, utility crossing, the entire plot parameters and the total area of the leased land to produce high quality output and support in the definition of a long-term contract within which a financial implication is applicable in case of any mislead information.
• Design cross sections drawings for different type of purposes (land filling, level, pipes crossing and etc.) in a timely, effective and accurate manner to meet development requirements and minimize any accidents/damages.
• Design 3D drawings using 3D Max and AutoCAD to be used for marking and promotion purposed for port and Free zone area as per defined protocols.
• Design modifications and minor installations in conjunction with engineers and export into SIP database and masterplan, in order to complete engineering graphics.
• Perform geospatial modeling and spatial analysis for assets and utilities within port and freezone area.

Site Inspections

• Make site inspections when required and resolve any technical issues related to centerline and crossing ROWs to provide technical support in ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness and in minimizing any hindrances.

Interface

• Act as an interface with SOHAR clients and industries/industry players to understand their technical requirements to ensure these are incorporated in drawings and the end product is delivered on-time, accurately and as per requirements

Operations Compliance

• Maintain and implement SIS data standard and procedures and follow QA/QC procedure within the department so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Self-check own drawings for completeness accuracy and meeting standards to ensure compliance to SIP operational procedures and instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information System, graphic design or relevant discipline.
• Fresh graduate, 1 or 2 years of experience in CAD environment (AutoCAD and/or 3D Max software) is an advantage
• Experience in GIS software such as ArcMap & ArcGIS Pro
• Basic skills in GIS geodatabase
• Knowledge of civil and technical drawings.
• Effective computer skills.
