Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.
Purpose of the Job
- Lead a team(s) of senior & process engineers to carry out the Process Engineering FEED activities (Define stage) for a Mega Project and/or several Medium Projects in order to generate the relevant Process Engineering FEED deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements.
- Ensure design integrity and deliverables quality for all areas within a project with special emphasis on interfaces and continuous improvements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 Years experience in Feed/ Engineering and preferably in Oil & Gas industry.
- Work in a matrix organization and handle multiple reporting relationships and project responsibilities.
- Working effectively with diverse, multi-cultural teams, peers, and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Written and Spoken.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage team work assignments, work load, work forecasting for assigned projects.
- Ensure team members accountabilities in the assigned project are clear and the team works well together and learn from each other and external sources..
- Participate in/facilitate Design Reviews, HAZOP’s, IPF Classifications, 3D Model review, Plot plan, etc.
- Implement/practice/monitor Quality Management System in assigned projects in line with ISO 9001-2015.
- Collaborate, build relationships, and manage interfaces with other FEED Office disciplines, assets project teams, etc. in the assigned project.
- Ensure seamless handover of Process FEED Deliverables to asset project and operations teams.
- Ensure all team members in the assigned project time write.
- Ensure team CTR’s and/or work commitments in the assigned project are well defined and delivered on time and within FEED contract value.
- Team documents its work well and meets its document control deadlines in the assigned project.
- Provide assurance review to Technical HSE for DEM-1, DEM-2, EPSF and AI-PSM lesson learned in the design.
- Review and approve all process deliverables, including calculations, datasheets etc.
- Carry out Process Engineering Studies.
- Review Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and review Technical queries (TQ) raised during TBE stage
- Ensure compliance to discipline engineering standards, work processes, systems and tools.
- Continually seeks new ways of working to improve performance and value delivery.
- Manage Process Inputs to:
- Material Selection Report
- Cause & Effect Diagrams.
- Instrument Data Sheets.
- Alarm & Trip Setting.
- Hazardous Area Classification Schedule.
- Initiate, check, and/or approve Process Engineering Deliverables
