The Position

Summary


The Public Relations Officer is responsible for managing ministry and government documentation for Roche employees and their immediate families, including labor permits, visas, document legalization, trade license renewals, general administrative duties, and document collection from the post office or bank.


Your Responsibilities
 


PRO Duties


  • Collaborate with management to plan and implement visa/immigration processes and communicate any changes in labor law or public holidays


  • Collect employees' passports from consulates for employees and their dependents


  • Submit correct documentation to the Immigration Department for visa applications and renewals


  • Arrange medical tests for visa issuance


  • Submit correct documentation to typing centers and attest business-related documents (e.g., trade licenses)


  • Assist payroll in calculating social security amounts for nationals


Administrative Duties


  • Collect and send mail from/to the post office as needed


  • Deliver/deposit cheque payments and official documents as requested


  • Notify employees of required documentation before their visa/labor card expires and manage the visa checklist according to changes in visa/labor rules



Compliance
All service activities and behavior in business must be in compliance to Roche standards expected on all Roche employees.


Who You Are


  • You have obtained at least a high school certificate


  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position for similar sized company


  • You are familiar with Omani government laws, rules and regulations relating to companies


  • You can fluently communicate in English and Arabic, both verbally and in writing


  • You are skilled in using IT tools including email, Microsoft applications including Word and Excel, and any governmental online application


  • You are integer, reliable and confidential


  • You are able to perform your tasks autonomously, or work in a team


  • You are proactive, have positive attitude, are persistent, and willing to walk the extra mile when needed


  • You are willing to learn and apply new skills
