Electrical Engineer Sales & CEP Job Details Modern Explorer Company is looking for a motivated Omani Electrical Engineer to join our team in Salalah, Dhofar. The selected candidate will work primarily as an Electrical Sales Engineer while also supporting the company as a Competent Electrical Person (CEP) in accordance with applicable DCRP requirements and electrical safety procedures. The position combines technical knowledge, customer engagement, tendering, site coordination, and electrical safety responsibilities. The engineer will support the development of new electrical business opportunities and assist in the safe execution of electrical works across company projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and follow up sales opportunities for electrical projects, services, maintenance works, and related solutions.
• Visit clients and project sites to understand technical requirements and identify business opportunities.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions in coordination with the company team.
• Follow up submitted quotations and tenders with clients and support technical and commercial discussions.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.
• Provide technical support for LV/MV electrical systems, distribution systems, panels, cabling, protection, testing, and related works.
• Perform CEP responsibilities subject to the candidate holding/obtaining the required DCRP competency/authorization and company appointment.
• Support electrical isolation, safety documentation, permits, testing, and other activities within the candidate's approved competency level.
• Ensure electrical activities comply with applicable safety requirements, client procedures, DCRP requirements, and company standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers and site teams for inspections, testing, commissioning, documentation, and project handover.
• Maintain sales enquiries, quotation follow-ups, client records, and periodic sales/project reports.
• Support the company in developing new electrical business opportunities within Dhofar and other areas of Oman when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Required.
• Omani National.
• Based in or willing to work in Salalah, Dhofar.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, electrical distribution, protection, and safe working practices.
• Existing DCRP CEP competency/authorization is strongly preferred; candidates eligible and willing to complete the required DCRP competency process may also be considered.
• Sales, estimation, tendering, or business-development experience in electrical/MEP projects is an advantage.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to understand drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Good command of Arabic and English.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Valid Oman driving licence is preferred.
• Willingness to attend client meetings, conduct site visits, and travel within Oman when required.
