Job Details

  • Implement QA/QC activities including those of sub suppliers works in accordance with approved ITPs and procedures, method statements and other control Documents;

  • Prepare and sign off applicable records for quality surveillance/inspections/tests;

  • Carry out surveillance inspections to verify processes and procedures compliance. The surveillance role shall be as follows but not limited to:

  • Carry out material receipt inspections to verify compliance with approved Material Test Certificates (MTCs), project specifications, purchase orders, and material traceability requirements.

  • Conduct all kind of Procedure & welder qualification following the client specification and international standards.

  • Verify that all welding activities are carried out by qualified welders using approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and qualified consumables.

  • Conduct fit-up, joint preparation, preheating, welding parameter, and visual inspections before, during, and after welding.

  • Review and verify welding records, weld maps, material traceability, consumable control records, PWHT records, and repair history.

  • Coordinate and witness Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities, including RT, UT, MT, PT, and hardness testing, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

  • Witness Flange Management, piping & pipeline Hydrotesting & pneumatic testing.

  • Review Welding & inspection reports and ensure all quality records are complete and maintained in accordance with project requirement

  • Coordinate inspection activities with construction, engineering, subcontractors, third-party inspectors, and Client representatives to ensure timely inspection and approval.

  • Verify that all measuring and inspection equipment is calibrated and used within its validity period.

  • Ensure full compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Plans, and client quality requirements.

  • Ensure the timely close out of NCRs with appropriate corrective actions.

  • Issue Inspection Release Note of Product/ Sign test pack (QC dossier),

  • Participate in quality audits, toolbox talks, lessons learned, Right First Time (RFT) initiatives, and continual improvement programs.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports as required.

  • Promote a strong quality culture while ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and safe work practices throughout all inspection activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • HNC or HND or Diploma or graduate or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or welding Engineering or Metallurgy

    CSWIP 3.1 / AWS or equivalent and certified to ASNT /EN473/ PCN level II in RT, PT, MT and UT techniques.

    Minimum 6 years (HNC/HND) experience in inspection & testing of Pipeline, piping, manifold, valves, General Skids & static equipment. Familiar with incoming inspection, Welding procedure qualification of different materials . 2 year minimum experience in oil & gas construction.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

    • Good knowledge and skills in pipe line inspection & QMS

    • Good knowledge of MS Office
