This role has the overall responsibility for optimizing, analyzing, troubleshooting and enhancing radio network performance. This role is to achieve and maintain the best possible network performance for best customer experience.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:Performing all optimization activities of 5G/LTE/VoLTE/3G/2G network to meet targeted network KPIs with continuous KPIs enhancement. Managing internal and external stakeholders during project optimization phase and prepare procedures and reports required. Continuously monitoring, analysing and developing network KPIs for network performance enhancement to be superior in comparison to other competitors. Managing counters and parameters setting with the vendor hourly/daily/monthly Managing sites acceptances (SSVs, Cluster KPIs acceptance, first tuning of new integrated sites) Continuously monitoring network capacity Resources and propose upgrade plans if required. Resolve coverage and quality deficiencies: radio design tuning, Pilot pollution analysis, parameter configuration, neighbouring cleaning, IRAT analysis, capacity, throughput improvement,Conducting trials / New features and presenting recommendations and analyse impact on customer experience and network KPIs. Investigate/troubleshoot reported customer complaints/network problems and perform root-cause analysis plus implementing solutions. Analysing benchmark drive tests and working on improving network experience plan. Conducting drive tests for important events and complaints and report suspected problems that were discovered during the drive tests or the LOG files analysis. Manage vendors maintaining healthy and productive relationship. Recommend innovative, optimum solutions that meet network and customer requirements
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:In depth knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE/VoLTE and 5G network radio optimization principles Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in radio network optimization, in different technologies in vendor or an operator environment. Detailed knowledge on mobile networks, especially on 4G/5G standards in Radio Network Optimization and the interface between the radio network and transport core network. Experienced with Ericson tools & Huawei tools In depth knowledge of NB-IoT along with SON and AI technologies Possess an in-depth knowledge/skill and is also able to apply this knowledge/skill to solve complex problems through simple, easy to maintain and robust solutions. International experience across different cultures, ideally experience of havinglived and worked in Oman (or in the Gulf) and/or understanding of the Arab culture. Very good Written and spoken English and Good written and spoken Arabic
Key Job Indicators:Deep technical investigations to define all technical challenges, with high analysis skills and innovative fast solutions to meet the best optimum network KPIs. Perform all parameters/ counters/KPIs definitions and different optimization tools to perform all optimization activities required. Provision of timely support to network planning and operation team to achieve targeted KPIs.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:BSC in Computer or Electronics Engineering
