ROLE OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for aligning technology capabilities with overarching business strategies to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of solutions that address critical business challenges and drive process optimization. Partners closely with business leaders to understand objectives, facilitate strategic discussions, and identify innovative technology solutions that support long-term goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic Business Technology Partnership Collaborate with domain business leaders to understand their objectives and challenges. Facilitate strategic discussions to align technology capabilities with business strategies. Identify and propose innovative technology solutions to address business challenges. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Analyze and optimize costs associated with process adoption. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance application performance through optimization of resources and processes. Establish mechanisms for capturing ongoing feedback from stakeholders to refine technology solutions. Technology Direction Alignment with Business Strategy Participate in strategic planning sessions with business management and key stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with the business strategy. Conduct an in-depth study of the current processes and technological landscape and document the alignment between technology direction and business strategy. Assess potential risks of misalignment between technology initiatives and business goals and recommend mitigation strategies. Keep updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance to strategic objectives. Ensure that architecture solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture standards and best practices. Demand Management & Optimization Opportunities Create a framework for evaluating and ranking technology demands. Conduct resource capacity planning and adjust priorities based on evolving business needs. Requirements Definition Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Work closely with business management to define and articulate detailed business requirements. Map out user journeys and document current-state and future-state business process maps. Align talent development strategies with business needs and workforce planning.
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS Qualification Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, IT, or a related field, and a proven track record of managing sustainable IT transformations Experience Strong knowledge of change management methodologies for complex digital technology projects Experience in PMO or project management in IT environments Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Experience in the electricity sector, minimum 8 years Skills Solid consulting skills from problem-solving, customer orientation, to deep organization and planning skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously Perfectly fluent in English and Arabic Regulatory Alignment (APSR/Nama): Ensuring the software remains 100% compliant with the latest Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) codes and Nama Group requirements. Client Technical Satisfaction: Feedback from technical leads at companies like Nama Electricity Distribution or NAMA Supply Electricity regarding the SME's expertise during project delivery. AMI & Smart Grid Architecture: Expert knowledge of the end-to-end data flow—from the physical meter (DLMS/COSEM protocols) to the Data Concentrator (DCU), through the Head End System (HES), and into the Meter Data Management (MDM). Algorithmic Logic Design: The ability to write "Pseudo-code" for developers. They shouldn't just say "detect theft"; they should say: "If Phase A current is 20% higher than Phase B for 6 hours while the meter temperature is >45°C, flag as a potential shunt."
