One of the Top Hospitals in Oman is looking at hiring a Interventional Cardiology Specialist for their team at IBRI and Sohar, Oman.

Client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to diagnose and treat complex cardiovascular diseases using catheter-based and minimally invasive procedures. The ideal candidate will combine excellent clinical judgment, advanced procedural skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients with ischemic heart disease, structural heart disorders, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other cardiovascular conditions. Perform interventional procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty (PCI), stent placement, thrombolysis support, and intravascular imaging (IVUS/OCT). Participate in structural and peripheral interventions as applicable (e.g., TAVI/TAVR, ASD/PFO closure, carotid/peripheral angioplasty). Interpret ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, Holter monitoring, CT/MRI findings, and other diagnostics. Develop comprehensive treatment plans in coordination with cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia, critical care, and other specialties. Provide pre-procedure counseling and post-procedure follow-up, including complication management and secondary prevention strategies. Participate in emergency call coverage for acute coronary syndromes and other cardiac emergencies. Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to clinical protocols and regulatory standards. Engage in quality improvement programs, case reviews, and continuing medical education. Promote patient education regarding lifestyle modification and cardiovascular risk reduction.

Qualifications & Requirements:
MBBS/MD with specialization in Cardiology (DM/DNB or equivalent) and fellowship/training in Interventional Cardiology. Valid medical license and board certification/eligibility in Cardiology. Proven experience performing percutaneous coronary interventions and related procedures. Strong procedural, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach. Ability to function effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
