Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced System and Security Administrator with a strong background in Linux system management, network security, cloud infrastructure, and containerized environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, and securing complex, distributed systems. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity, availability, and security of our systems while enabling scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Linux System Administration Maintain, monitor, and optimize Linux servers (primarily Ubuntu / Cent OS / RHEL) Handle system updates, patch management, and performance tuning. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and tools like Ansible. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems and networks. Manage firewall rules, NGFW, and security monitoring tools. Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response. Containerization & Orchestration Deploy, maintain, and secure containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Manage Kubernetes clusters (on-premise or cloud-managed, e.g., EKS/GKE/AKS). Apply security policies to container environments and enforce RBAC. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Build and maintain infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Cloud Formation. Version control and automate infrastructure provisioning in CI/CD pipelines. Cloud Infrastructure Management Manage and secure cloud resources (AWS, Azure, OCI). Monitor usage, enforce cost controls, and apply cloud security principles. Support hybrid or multi-cloud environments. Networking Experience with configure VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and routing rules. Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and packet-level issues. Monitoring & Logging Implement centralized logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, Loki). Ensure uptime and system health through proactive monitoring and alerting.
Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience in Linux system administration. Solid hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and secure networking practices. Proven experience securing systems in cloud-native environments. Strong command of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus. Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Power Shell, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Dev Sec Ops principles. Professional certifications such as RHCE, CKA/CKS, AWS/GCP Security Specialty, or CISSP are a strong advantage.
