The Role

Function: To ensure the delivery of exceptional operational, service, and commercial standards, and corporate compliance throughout the stores in the allocated area. To ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of Store teams, whilst managing full resources at his disposal. Business Performance - Effectively manage the P&L within allocated budget by optimizing store sales through improving Units per Transaction, Conversion Rates, optimizing Sales Driver Process to ensure store sales targets are achieved, and to ensure shrinkage is optimized and operational costs are controlled within budget. Sales & Operations Meetings - Chair monthly Sales & Operations meetings and communicate business objectives clearly and concisely to Store Managers to ensure they remain well informed of business activity and of their required contribution to achieve business objectives. Customer Service - Develop a deeper understanding of customers’ needs and concerns among store colleagues to ensure quality service is delivered and highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained that effectively meets and exceeds customers’ expectations. Commerciality - Track and evaluate brands’ seasonal sales performance, research market trends and competitor trading activities to address factors that lead to incremental sales/decline sales and propose remedial measures in case of declining sales or recommend allocation of resources to capitalize on emerging opportunity. Visual Merchandising Standards - Liaise with the Visual Merchandising and Buying teams and establish a two way feedback loop to ensure prompt and effective seasonal layouts are carried out, whilst ensuring visual presentation of all stores represent the Brand and Company image, and Brand specific merchandising standards are consistently delivered across the stores. Staff Development - Identify training needs and maximize store colleagues’ potential through effective implementation of New Employee Induction, Buddy Book, Meet & Greet, and Performance Management process, and to ensure effective learning and development programs are produced to meet the individual and business needs. Stock Management - Liaise with the Buying and Merchandising teams regarding the supply of stock to optimize stock potential. Market Intelligence - Build external networks and understand market trends, competitor activities to propose action plans to maintain competitive advantage and contribute to all aspects of business development including new site recommendations, new store opening and store refits. SOP Compliance - Effectively manage Store Managers to ensure 100% compliance to Store SOPs, One File, Audit, Inventory, Loss Prevention, Health & Safety, Finance, and HR policies and procedures. Monthly Activity Calendar and Store Visits - Create monthly activity calendar and visit stores in the allocated area to ensure monthly SVR and PTVR reports are done as per defined schedule.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Arts and Humanities. And/or Minimum Experience: - Over 8 years overall experience in retail industry with 3 years as Store Manager in a large retail format. Job Specific Skills: - Excellent numerical skills. Generic Skills: - Excellent spoken English and Arabic language (preferred).
