Job Title: Supply Chain Expert

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Expert will be responsible for developing and managing the overall supply chain and procurement strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO, the expert will oversee procurement, vendor management, contract negotiations, and the optimization of the supply chain process. The role focuses on ensuring cost-efficiency, transparency, and compliance with regulations, while delivering the highest value for the Fund. The Supply Chain Expert will also work closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:

1. Develop and implement an effective supply chain strategy that aligns with the Fund’s mission and long-term goals.
2. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery through optimized supply chain operations.
3. Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to align supply chain activities with the organization’s overall objectives.

2. Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring transparency, competitiveness, and value for money.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable and high-quality service and product delivery.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms for the Fund.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action where necessary.

3. Risk Management & Compliance:

1. Ensure that all procurement and supply chain activities are in full compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
2. Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
3. Implement and maintain ethical standards for procurement and supply chain practices.

4. Inventory & Logistics Management:

1. Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment of supplies.
2. Manage logistics and distribution channels to ensure the efficient delivery of goods and services to internal stakeholders.
3. Work closely with internal teams to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of necessary goods and services.

5. Cost Control & Budgeting:

• Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-efficiency across all procurement activities.
• Conduct regular cost analysis to identify areas for savings and improvement.
• Track and report on key supply chain metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership.

6. Continuous Improvement:

• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
• Lead efforts to digitize and modernize supply chain processes where applicable.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, with a proven track record in a senior role.
• Experience in the public sector, social services, or financial institutions is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• In-depth understanding of local and international procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strategic thinking and ability to align supply chain activities with broader organizational goals.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
