- Oversee and manage all Quality Control (QC) activities, providing support to QC Technicians as needed.
- Develop, revise, and submit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for approval when necessary.
- Conduct and supervise testing of SASO samples as outlined in specified monthly reports.
- Perform and monitor testing for:
- Stability
- Returned Finished Goods
- Colors
- Catalogues
- Colorants
- Finished Goods
- Raw Materials (RMs)
- Packaging
- Samples for all company departments
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operational condition of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Finalize daily test reports for finished products, authorize batch tickets, and promptly communicate results to production, while assisting with troubleshooting quality-related issues.
- Address and investigate customer and supplier complaints, including verification, testing, and reporting.
- Prioritize testing activities in the quality control laboratory based on urgency and importance.
- Select and manage Standard (STD) samples by batch number to ensure consistency and verify that test results meet required specifications.
- Engage in continuous cost reduction initiatives, including:
- Optimizing electricity and water use
- Managing leftover samples
- Minimizing packaging waste
- Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions as recommended.
- Adhere to laboratory safety rules and instructions, maintaining cleanliness and proper upkeep of the workspace and equipment.
- Document all laboratory activities and prepare regular reports.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
- Fully commit to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and cease any activities that do not comply with these standards.
- Ensure that all supervised employees strictly follow HSE instructions.
- Exercise decision-making authority on actions impacting environmental, occupational health, and safety considerations.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Chemist. Experience 3-5 years’ of experience in paints industry. Technical Experience Auditing skill. ISO knowledge. Good level of English.
