• Study and analyze tender documents (Specs, Drawings, Bill of Quantities [BOQ]) from a technical point of view and validate the received studies from the engineers and vendors.


• Identify risk factors and ensure that technical terms comply with the relevant standards.


• Create project cost estimates in terms of the required material as per BOQ, amount of work, material / equipment and manpower requirements during the tendering phase, this includes all systems, products and services to client specifications / requirements.


• Negotiate & follow-up with vendors / subcontractors / Consultant to get their technical / commercial offers on time.


• Ensure that any inquiries or clarifications (Request for Information- RFI) are raised to the client.


• Carry out Value engineering studies to meet the client budget constrains


• Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data and keep estimation records for future tender and cost evaluations.


• Inquire, consult and coordinate with client & consultant representatives for specification/ technical and BOQ clarifications required for tenders and proposals and attends pre-tender meetings.


• Finalize estimation of all direct, suggest necessary indirect costs, and consolidate tender documents for management review and approval.


• Provides all the necessary project clarifications/ information upon project award to the Project Manager as per the project budget; advises the Project Manager on contractual rights, remedies which has been taken into consideration during tendering.


• Generates required tender reports highlighting status / progress


• Prepare comparative analysis documents related to specs, price, delivery conditions and mode of transportation.


• Engaged in the preparation & compilation of the necessary documents, information & technical inputs required for the completion of tender documentation.


• Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Skills

• Min. 4 years' experience in tendering preferred in contracting companies


• Excellent Communication skills


• Good understanding and interpretation of project requirements.
