We are recruiting a Senior Backend Architect (Real-Time
Systems) for one of our clients, a well-known information technology company based in
Muscat, Oman.

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading information technology company based in Muscat,
Oman, known for delivering innovative and reliable technology solutions across
various industries. With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer
satisfaction, the company specializes in developing customized software,
digital transformation solutions, and scalable platforms tailored to meet
evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and own the end-to-end architecture for a real-time,
  event-driven backend serving
  
• Define data models and streaming topologies
  
• Create blueprints for stateful stream processing
  
• Architect for deterministic low latency (<50ms p99) by
  optimizing garbage collection, lock-free data structures, and CPU caching behavior
  
• Design data partitioning and replication strategies for both
  hot and warm storage
  
• Set coding standards for non-blocking I/O
  
• Lead architectural reviews to ensure real-time SLAs are met
  under peak load
  
• Create runbooks for real-time debugging (async stack traces,
  latency flame graphs)
  

• 8+ years of backend development, with 3+ years specifically
  in real-time or low-latency systems
  
• Strong hands-on backend architecture and system design
  experience
  
• Proven experience building or leading high-concurrency,
  low-latency systems
  
• Strong understanding of concurrency, race conditions, atomic
  operations, consistency, idempotency, and fault tolerance
  
• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems
  
• Experience designing systems where response time under load
  is critical
  
• Strong backend development experience in Golang and Python
  
• Experience with caching, in-memory data stores, relational
  databases, APIs, queues, and event-driven architecture
  
• Experience with WebSocket or similar real-time communication
  mechanisms
  
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers,
  orchestration, and production-grade backend deployment
  
• Ability to stay hands-on technically while also leading
  engineers and making architectural decisions
  

• Experience measuring and optimizing latency under load
• Familiarity with p95/p99 latency, load testing, performance
  tuning, and scaling
• Experience with production monitoring, bottleneck analysis,
  and incident handling
• Experience in distributed systems where correctness and
  speed both matter

on systems where many users or events happen at the same time, and the backend
must process them correctly, consistently, and quickly under load.
