POSITION: – HSSE ADVISOR
Qualification:
A minimum of a Bachelor in HSE, Science, Engineering or equivalent
Omani national, Qualified as a safety professional through education or by relevant and recognised certification courses such as NEBOSH IGC or technician level membership with IOSH or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant HSE experience preferably in oil and gas industry, two (2) years of which shall have been gained in the Middle East.
Shall have a minimum of (3) three years of experience in a HSSE position overseeing similar scope of work.
OQ Approval will be added advantage.
Skills/Abilities:
• Should have good communication skills with minimum 5 year of experience as a HSE and minimum 2-3 years in Oil & Gas project.
• To be familiar with construction activities.
• To Delivering HSE presentation/ training as per the project.
• To provide assistance & guidance to identify risk factors & environmental impact for development of an integrated Health, Safety & Environment Management Program, thereby eliminating or minimizing them up to reasonable level and improving safety standards.
• To investigate incidents / accidents, dangerous occurrences & near misses, determine their root cause and implement recommendations for recurrence prevention & control
• To Monitor Project work sites & any outstanding HSE issues and ensuring the Safety implements in timeliness of deliverables; extending support to team members by defining standard safety practices
• To participate in safety meetings to create awareness about elimination of hazardous & unsafe conditions.
• To Follow instructions from HSE Manager to avoid repetitive failure & other problems that adversely affect project operations including Health, safety, environment & other regulatory compliance issues
• To Motivates high performance amongst team members; imparting continuous on-job training to accomplish greater efficiency
• Good in MS Office. Should know MS Word, MS Excel and PPT professionally.
• Good in English communication. Hindi/Urdu will add value.
• OPAL Driving license will add value.

Responsibilities:
HSSE Advisor shall be site based and be responsible for day-to-day HSSE oversight, documentation, risk assessments, monitoring, auditing, inspections, induction & training, etc.
• To be familiar with OQ and OPAL HSE procedure and requirement.
• To Make record of all HSE statistics of project and maintain tracking.
• To provide assistance to all site members for their queries.
• Following up for the compliance of Monitoring plan and based on this advising site personnel to compliance of this & client requirements and reports submission to Site HSSE Manager.
• Supporting to all site personnel for problem related to HSE implementation.
• To prepare HSE plan & HEMP / Risk Assessments for projects.
• Risk Assessment: Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards on-site and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Prepare weekly / Monthly site visit / Inspection schedule and monitor HSE compliance at site and review performance on new HSE activities.
• Preparing and submitting Weekly and Monthly HSE performance measurement reports to HSE Manager & Client.
• Maintain records of HSE meetings and ensure that routine HSE meetings takes place.
• Maintain Audit log, NCR Log, Action Tracking Register, Default Log, Training record and incident log etc. Maintain all the supporting documents of close-out always.
• To create HSE Alert, HSE bulletin and conduct awareness session for the same.
• Frequent site visit for auditing, inspection, training & advising.
• To conduct Accident/ Incident investigation / Near Miss/ First Aid case as well as Follow up reports.
• Maintain copies of all incident reports and provide a monthly report and all required documents to Site HSE Manager.
• Actively involved in documentation, implementation & audits of corrective actions.
• Demonstrate active involvement in HSE training programs.
• To work as a team.
• To maintain the records of sub-contractor and conduct frequent audits to ensure compliance.
• Safety Audits: Carrying out safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents or near-misses to determine root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Safety Training: Organizing and conducting safety training sessions for all site personnel, including toolbox talks and induction training for new workers.
• Legal Compliance: Keeping up to date with HSE laws and regulations to ensure the construction site adheres to all legal requirements.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Reporting: Preparing and submitting regular HSE reports to management and relevant authorities.
• Communication: Facilitating effective communication regarding HSE matters among all levels of the workforce, from management to site workers.
• Safety Leadership: Encouraging a proactive safety culture by leading by example and promoting the importance of safety in all site activities.
• Behavioral Safety: Implementing behavioral safety programs to encourage safe work practices and reduce human error.
