Central Bank of Oman is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic Omani candidate to work as Financial Systems Analyst
Purpose:
To carry out its mandate by shouldering a part of the regular work particularly in the area of Bank Resolution & Crisis Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing recommendations regarding designating/excluding financial institutions, markets, or infrastructure as systemically important.
- Assist in periodically updating and disseminating Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) scores.
- Assist in review of recovery plans of D-SIBs and participating in the meetings of the D-SIBs Committee.
- Assist in Implementing the Resolution Framework for critical financial intermediaries in Oman (D-SIBs) and spearheading all aspects of the Bank Resolution Framework including:
a. Related analysis
b. Resolution plans
c. Assessment of resolution funding
d. Resolvability assessments
e. Setting-up of Bank Resolution Committee
f. Resolution simulation
5.Supporting the work of the proposed Resolution Committee including taking a lead in drafting ToRs of the Committee.
6.Working on the (components of) “Emergency Readiness, Management & Response Framework”.
7.Supporting the work of the proposed Emergency Committee including taking a lead in drafting ToRs of the Committee.
8.Collecting and compiling data needed for the work.
9.Any other work assigned by the Head.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 3 years of work experience in regulation/banking/bank supervision/research or related areas with Bachelors Degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Public Policy, Law).
Desirable Qualifications:
Masters in any related field stated above.
Professional qualifications ACCA, CPA, CFA, FRM, CMA
