Based at InterContinental Muscat, this position manages the recreation operations to ensure quality standards, quality safety standards and all hygienic regulations are met, while delivering a unique guest experience. To control the daily operation of the Recreation Dept, in accordance with the hotel policies, procedures and standards 

Your day-to-day

• To supervise the daily operation of the recreation facilities by ensuring adequate coverage, maintenance and quality of service are provided.
• Monitors Recreation Department Personnel to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service
• Inform other operating departments of Recreation department mattes which concern them in order to ensure, accurate activities status. In addition, to communicate with Engineering Department for proper repair and maintenance of equipment
• Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
• Identifies training needs, develops formal training plans and implements training sessions
• Inspects equipment and all the H & FC areas on a regular basis to ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and refurbished/ replaced as required. Makes recommendations to RM as appropriate
• Maintains appropriate standards of dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance, posture and conduct of Recreation Department employees. 

What we need from you

Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Recreation or related field, and four or more years of experience in the field setting with direct supervisory experience over a Health Club/Spa team. Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required. Must be fluent in English and Arabic is an advantage.
