JOB SCOPELead and oversee the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of airport systems, enterprise applications, and service delivery platforms across Oman Airports, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient technology services that support seamless airport operations, business transformation, and user satisfaction.
ACCOUNTABILITIES• Develop and communicate the unit objectives, goals, and operational plan in line with division’s over-arching strategy.• Develop and monitor the unit budget, and guide unit leads on Optimization.• Manage the performance of the unit and ensure alignment with the unit’s operational plan.• Identify development needs for unit staff and provide feedback for growth.• Develop and implement the strategy for Technology systems and services in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring integration with airport operational and business needs.• Ensure high availability, uptime, and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems including AODB, RMS, BHS, ERP, HRMS, and airport applications.• Lead the application lifecycle management from requirements and design to development, deployment, upgrades, and decommissioning—ensuring architectural integrity and process automation.• Drive integration of airport operational and business systems to enable real-time data sharing, process efficiency, and enhanced decision-making.• Oversee deployment and optimization of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense) and application performance monitoring systems (APM) to support proactive insights and continuous improvement.• Collaborate with functions across Oman Airports to develop technology solutions, translating requirements into high-quality applications and digital tools.• Work closely with the Digital & Innovation function to co-develop digital solutions, including mobile applications, automation workflows, and smart airport technologies.• Oversee CI/CD processes, version control, and code standards for in-house developed applications to ensure reliability and scalability.• Implement API-based integrations and cloud-enabled applications, enabling scalable, data-driven digital transformation across airport operations.• Oversee data management systems, ensuring data integrity, governance, and seamless integration across enterprise business applications and airport operational systems• Conduct regular performance reviews and generate strategic reports to the CIO, highlighting risks, performance metrics, and improvement plans.• Develop periodic reports for the unit and contribute to the development of periodic reports at the division level, as requested by the Division Head.• Facilitate seamless integration of enterprise and airport systems, ensuring data consistency, automation, and interoperability• Maintain an enterprise architecture matrix that communicated and adopted by all Technology functions.• Oversee the deployment of AI platform and LLMs to enhance the airport operations and provide an excellent guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT field (Master’s degree in an IT field preferred)• Minimum of 15 years of experience including 5 years in the field of (Development/Service/system Delivery)• Preferred Airport experience
