Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lifting/Rigging Specialist located in Ras Laffan. The Lifting/Rigging Specialist will be responsible for the safe and effective movement of heavy equipment, as well as the proper selection and inspection of rigging equipment. They will collaborate with the project team to develop lifting plans, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Lifting/Rigging operations in a construction environment. Experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry is a plus
- Proficient in International standards such as LEEA, ASME B30, API RP2D and PUWER regulations pertaining to Lifting & Rigging Operations
- Expertise in Critical Lift Planning, Appointed Person & Slinger Certification, Lifting equipment Inspection, and Rigging Gear Inspection & Maintenance
- Familiarity with Lifting and Rigging Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High School diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of recognized Lifting & Rigging apprenticeship and certification program
- Current certification from an accredited Lifting & Rigging training provider such as CIC, OPITO, IRATA, LEEA or equivalent
